In the past i have taken the trim off of both doors to work on the speakers and apply some dynamat.

I can only roll the window back up using the switch on the driver s side. Rear passenger window will go down with driver door button but will not come up it will go up and down using passenger door button report 2000 chevrolet silverado 1500 116 500 mi. Whenever i press down the window switch for the passenger window from the driver side control it will not make the passenger window go down nor up. Drivers window goes down great passenger window stopped going down.

Now the passenger window doesn t go down at all. At first i could use the driver side control for the passenger and then the passenger switch would work. In my 1998 chevy silverardo i can put the passenger side window down with the driver s side control but i can t put it back up. If the vehicle has 4 doors you can eliminate or prove the passenger switch as the cause by replacing the suspect switch with a switch from another passenger door.

Check the fuse and if it is good then you will have to do some. If a passenger window fails the most likely causes in order would be the window master switch the passenger door window switch or the window motor.
