2000 jeep cherokee drivers door window stuck down.

The problem was that the upper window track cable pulled through the plastic track guide. Have a 2000 grand cherokee. When the door panel is off and the switch is manipulated then it works for almost 2 or 3 days and then again nothing works. Drove home with the window down in 100 degree heat and decided to fix it the next day.

Drive the glass into the full up position by pulling up on the window switch to its second detent manual mode and holding switch until the glass is fully closed. Same issue using both the front and rear window switches. For some reason the leads are not switching polarity. It is not stuck in the tracks as it moves front to back and side to side in its channel.

I have a problem with my 2000 jeep cherokee. I have a 2004 jeep grand cherokee larendo. The passenger front window will not go up. Yesterday we pulled into a parking lot closed the passenger door and watched the window go down all by itself.

Reset the express up module for the door window glass in question. Actually moves up and down a little bit. Drive the glass to the full down position by pushing down on depress the window. Disconnect the window from the motor.

If it works ok now the window motor is. Window rolled down but won t come back up. You will need to hold the window up once you remove the screws of the regulator mechanism so that the window does not fall off the regulator mechanism. The motor sounds and by the partial movement appears to be working properly.

Get 1 2 pieces of wood 1 foot long is fine that will serve as braces for holding the window in place from the inside of the door you can also use painter s tape. Meter d the leads to the motor and i m getting 12v rolling down but not rolling up. Get inside the car and open the door as you are holing the window switch down slam the door shut a few times sometimes this will jar the window motor loose if it is stuck. This leads me to believe that it is not the motor this time.

Among the windows the remote door lock mirror and light does not work at all. It will go down but not up. The drivers side window is stuck open again. The drivers switch is the master switch and not like the others.

So the same problem reemerged on the same window. Get two pieces of wood.

I purchased a brand new motor and installed it but the same problem is occuring. If the window goes up but not down most likely the switch.
