Drivers side door on 1998 jeep grand cherokee i have the same problem. Zj power door lock problems. I have already tried taking off the door panel and checking the harnesses for corrosion. Jump to latest follow.

Anyways i have to dismantle the dash again to find the dead short. Any help on how to fix would be very helpful. Again i believe this was a problem that was corrected on the 96 my change. So then i disconnected the harnesses and plug them back in and that was not the problem.

Do not know cause but i remove large red 50 fuse in engine compartment fuse box wait 15 sec and replace. There is no corrosion. Checked all doors last evening no luck. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don t.

If the right front door locks and unlocks there is output from the passenger door module the rear and right front are on the same circuit. No parts for vehicles in selected markets. I have a 1998 jeep cherokee 4x4 and my door lock button does not work on the passenger or drivers side. Passenger door lock makes a ticking noise when i push the door lock on drivers door.

Just the passenger door module. Nothing will lock or unlock electronically.
