Was hoping to change this to an exterior classed door with a small window pane.
The result was a closed off space.
So a kitchen from the early sixties might look like the one above sleek angular and understated while one from the latter half of the decade might exhibit bold colors and space age lines.

The 1950 s and 1960 s crawford doors were generally of high quality.
The kitchen is a smaller kitchen and when the home was built they probably wanted to put as many cabinets in as they could for storage.
Next we modified the hanging cabinet over the stove to accommodate a combination microwave and vent hood by cutting the existing face frame on the cabinet and removing the cabinet bottom.
One broke and it was decided to replace the torsion springs with extension springs.
Especially the rather small first floor windows lined up in a boring row the under played entrance and the large dead looking proportion of the garage door.
